Why Gujarat elections and not 2019 Lok Sabha election?
And since, the project is expected to be completed by 2022, why not also consider 2024 LS election?
TINA-There is no alternative. All political parties are like that. Sab ko mauke pe chauka marna hota hai.
Moreover, Be it today or tomorrow, bullet train project had to start. The Mou with JICA regarding feasibility

studies and setting up of HSRC click here was all done by previous government. The implementation started under the current government. I'd not say it a "lollipop" because that would mean that no one is serious about that. Projects like "Cleaning Ganga" in 2-3 years are lollipop. But I feel we can be a little optimistic about Bullet train project getting successfully implemented, becoming part of our system and standing out different from current services of Indian Railways; just like Delhi Metro got established in last 2 decades.

the government should first increase standards in current trains.Bullet trains are very far away. There are already Shatabdi,Double Decker,Duronto b/w ADI and BCT introducing a bullet train at ridiculous ticket prices will just create losses for IR and WR.Instead of wasting common man's money on such useless projects they should spend it on speeding up construction of double tracks, electrification, new line construction

Root cause of inadequate development & lack of facilities in India and problems faced by the honest citizens of India lie in improper management/allocation of funds. Govt. is inefficiently spending hard earned money of honest taxpayers on many dubious & whimsical schemes just to pamper and buy votes for themselves, rather than to spend on the actual safety/security/development of nation.
