i have booked tickets from dadar to chennai for 24th march, tickets r confirmed, but can i board the train from mumbai because i have heard it is tough to board the train in dadar as it stops only for 3 minutes, also if i wish to board the train at mumbai whom to approach

There is no question of considering problems in boarding at Dadar in a situation where the passenger has no other better options for boarding except boarding at Dadar Station. Problems or no problems, he will be boarding at Dadar only.
Not advisable here but As per rules -yes, boarding Possible at any other stations beyond Dadar (forward stations) on boarding change request procedure. How's is the Lonavala example relevent here ? What is being intended to be conveyed to the blogger by this example ?.
