This station should be developed as a triangular station with a platform on both sides near the bridge over bharathapuzha. This will enable the passengers to north kerala and to south kerala make effective use of chain and trains skipping shornur, loco reversal, etc can all be avoided.
IR should build a Shronaur Road station on the outskirts for trains bypassing SRR
At first railways should give priorty to clear the congestion of SRR jn, the trains which all are passing or bypassing SRR is delayed due to this congestion.
