Travelled by this train a few days back. It is a very good train. The coaches are new, they are made in Dec 2008. They are clean and well maintained (as of now). AC was good and was working well. Blankets and bedsheets were provided (for Rs 25). All in all a very good experience.
I just have one grievance. The train starts from Yeshwentpur, which is very far from the city. Even Banaswadi is a small station and not well connected with buses and rickshaws.

i truly agree to your grievance . it is very far from the city.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Agreed with your desire for a train upto Bangalore City but the Yeshwantpur is hardly at a distance of 5-6 kms. All big cities are overloaded with trains time table and hence terminating outside the city limits is inevitable to cope with the load.
Note that same way trains are terminated or originated in Mumbai from Bandra, Dadar, Kurla LTT. Same way trains are terminated or originated in New Delhi from H Nizamuddin, Sarai Rohilla, Old Delhi, Anand Vihar. Same way at Chennai, Secunderabad, Kolkata-Howrah. No other alternative and hence some passengers will get disappointed.

Bangalore city statiopn is saturated at 9PM with many trains entering and leaving. Anyway Yeshvantapura is just about 7 kms and plenty of buses available to RMC stop from where you can use the PF-6 enterance. 90E conductors and drivers have scheduled the trips to ensure it meets the arrival departure of trains at Yeshvantapur
