Hello all friends I’m making ticket for my father as a senior citizen by irctc, what age proof document I have to carry is pan or voter card enough, and one more question my father is going to become a senior citizen in the month of November and my trip is in December, if I’m taking ticket online then I have to show age proof in train, suppose I’m making ticket from railway counter will they provide me the ticket since he will be senior citizen next month November but the trip is in December, but while booking ticket he is not. so will they provide ticket or I shall book online to take benefit

so if i book ticket from prs counter and not from irctc they will not ask anything
ID proof to verify Age is must to carry whether traveling on eTicket or PRS ticket.
As said earlier, proof is to be shown during journey and not at the time of booking (whether it is a Counter , I or E ticket). Since journey is being undertaken when he would have attained the permitted age, please go on booking with concession.
