Scenario 1: I have a confirmed seat/ berth in some express train (non- sf). I miss it. Now an sf express train is leaving for the same route on the same day. Can I travel in it in general class with the same ticket?

No you cant, in all 3 cases, although TT may allow but officially you are WT
You have to buy a new ticket in all the three cases and cancel the original ticket
But I could in the 1st scenario if the 2nd train was an sf express, couldn't I?
