Travel report : 11005 Dadar (T) - Puducherry Chalukya Express (From Hubli Jn to Katpadi Jn)
After been posted to chennai for audit in mid September, I went back to UBL for my festival holidays from MAS ( had adventurous journey after missing Haripriya Express at TPTY)... Now comes time to return back Chennai after holidays, and all the tensions of booking ticket and finding new joint trains to reach Chennai started. It just suddenly flashed to take 11005 from UBL to KPD and any MAS bound train from KPD...

and the availability was in RAC from Dadar... ( Clear indication of easy availability of tatkal)... Booked train ticket, but unfortunately ended up getting side upper....
02.10.2017 - 12.15pm - Reached UBL and was surprised to see GY WDP 4D getting ready to depart 17226 - UBL BZA Express from Platform 2... Continuous announcements were on for UBL MRJ and UBL SUR passenger, both being placed at 3rd platform... NTES at that time was showing the 11005 had passed Unkal at 12.14 pm....
12.22pm - I placed myself at the fag end of Platform 1 of UBL, so that I can enjoy the mighty WDP 4D's grand entry clearly at UBL. As the train entered UBL, announcement went on welcoming passengers into SWR's UBL Jn. Took my seat and started at sharp 12.45pm... Crawled upto UBL south outer and where made to wait for some time in main line of outer station, for JRU UBL pass to loop off completely, clearing way for WDP 4D to blast the tracks around 80 km.
1.05pm - Was surprised to see 12079 being looped for us, and our train blasted Kundgol with 95 kmph.... rare of the incident, of 12080 being looped
Then the series of crossings came up... as we were looped for some 7 times between HVR and TK.... but all the times, WDP 4D made it clear to pick up the speed and reach YPR at 21.22, where people were waiting for 16589...
10.00 pm - 11005 ( ED WAP 4) along with 12649 departed YPR and the parallel run started upto YPR's famous C curve..... there after KSK was given green, and we where made to wait for some train to loop off ahead... Crossed Lottegehalli, and reached Banaswadi... After long time, I travelled in YPR KJM route... I just simply love that route... super curves, the sound of tracks.. etc etc...
I slept off after 10.45pm as I had to undergo train change at KPD and catch the mighty 12674 - CBE MAS Cheran SF Express.... awoke sharp at 2.35am, when train was being pulled into PF 4 of KPD... and said good bye to 11005... super train with super memories...
