Varanasi-Lalganj-Azamgarh-Gorakhpur rail line is now on ground. Field survey has been started from Varanasi side and reached Lalganj. Survey has been done from west side of NH-233 in Chandwak, Deogaon & Lalganj. Unconfirmed reports are that this line is bifurcated from Birapatti station (BRPT) on Varanasi–Zafrabad section & Dobhi (DHE) is going to become junction. Pics by Sandeep

They've started a field survey from Varanasi, and they're already reached Lalganj. The survey covered the west side of NH-233 in Chandwak, Deogaon, and Lalganj.
