The main problem in our state is we do not have entire double line. And not many passenger trains are also available. And many of those trains seldom follow the schedule. Most of the time passenger trains are held at various stations to facilitate express trains to overtake.
While i agree with your point, specifically to this point of DHN-Allp exp, quite surprised that there is a passenger train towards Allp at 6 and then another one at 7pm, both generally go on time, and even then passengers wanted DHN-Alp exp !!!??
MAJN KCVL definitely needs change in TT, presently it arrives almost 1hour before time at Kannur. And IR can think about extending it to CAPE, as CAPE association is asking for Mangalore connectivity.
Highly unlikely because of the unavailability of slots when monsoon TT is in force. Only way out is to give it the 19:40 special slot.
