What is the use of introducing such a long distance non stop train i don't understand . The best way to decrease travel time (and thereby increase commercial speed)is not just by cutting down stoppages that too for such a long distance train( travelling for almost two days). Neither it is that much accountable to generate lucrative revenue nor that much useful for a wide range of passangers( as it travels from end to end), I guess. speed is definitely important but for that we need high speed track. We have high speed tracks only around Agra- tundla- Faridabad- New Delhi section, which are supportive of speed as high as 150 kmph( test drive). But the other parts of India are deprived . so before introducing so many durantos and so many specials, please invest some time and money in high speed track extension, or at least carry on both simultaneously(...

I know it is difficult). I would be grateful if the moderatoprs convey the message, and attract others attention too regarding the same

no...way pune duronto is not the slowest, ,...its having a gud speed......its bcoz of mumbai pune section(140 kms in 3 hours..by all trains)..the speed has reduced...if u cut out this..avg speed bcums more than 84!!!...and BTW..its reaching its destination before time by over an hour everytime........in both directions...so better dont comment abou pune duronto's speed.....u luk over ur ernakulam duronto(slow THOUGH.....blooody tortoise)...and yeshvantpur duronto(67 km/hr....really slow....even slower than mighty tamilnadu express(avg speed 68 km/hr), ,,, and even chennai duronto(eventhough has same avg speed as tat of pune duronto is very late ..u can c avg departure/arrival history)...and moreover lucknow duronto is too very slow....so u 1st luk at ur own section before commenting on other trains
