1) It will reduce distance between Bhopal and Katni/Rewa/Singrauli/Chattisgarh etc.
2) It will reduce traffic at Bina Jn.

There used to be a narrow gauge line (2'0") between Ujjain and Agar, that was closed down in the 70's. WR could not get the land back from the state government as the required documents were missing and it could not prove ownership (as of 2010).
