With regards to ticket-availability and timings of few trains. There are a total of 13 trains from Surat to Raipur. And an average of 3-5 trains per day(One train is special). And 6 trains depart from Surat on different days in the same time slot between 07:53-08:30. The other trains that operate in the latter halves, it is very difficult to get tickets in that train. Due to a family emergency, We had to book a train for tomorrow for Raipur. The only train that had the best time was Surat-Malda Town. Within 103 seconds, 97 seats were booked,(From AVBL 80 to TQWL 17) in Tatkal quota. And similarly, all the other trains tomorrow got booked within Two minutes. It's almost impossible to get a confirm ticket on this route, because of low frequency of trains and their very odd timings. Can they please run trains on different time, if not...
