There have been recent incidents of attempted attacks on women commuters inside local trains in Mumbai. The culprits target women who happen to find themselves travelling alone after all the other women commuters have alighted at their destination. Likewise, in the General compartments, there are fights among commuters due to various reasons or some boys eve-teasing women on the platforms, boys performing stunts etc. To resolve these issues, Small pinhole CCTV cameras like screwheads, nuts, bolts etc can capture such incidents and bring the culprits to book. The mere fact of CCTV inside local train compartments will deter and prevent crime and enhance safety of all commuters. BEST buses have CCTV cameras inside the buses and this did prevent crime to a certain extent.This will go a long way in identifying thefts inside local trains and punish the culprits with evidence.
