Rs 665 and of Shatabdi is Rs 746-1081 (W/o catering charges). Fare of Bullet train (economy class) when introduced in 2024 should atmost be double of current ACSF fare adjusted to inflation i.e. about Rs 2000, in order to have a respectable traffic/patronage.
* Traffic is very cost sensitive and measures like double decker and innovative seat layout shall be required to bring down the cost per seat and ensure high traffic on the proposed Bullet trains.
