railway line from Rayadurg to Thumkur via Kalyandurg costing Rs. 970.34 crore, during his visit to Rayadurg in Anantapur district on Friday.
The new BG railway line between Tumkur and Rayadurg (207.65 km) via Kalyandurg, Madakasira and Pavagada, was sanctioned in 2008-09.
The project costing Rs. 970.34 crore will be executed on 50:50 cost sharing basis between Railways and the governments of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh
