That's why I mentioned, 'except in some rare cases'. :)
This is IR. It's really dangerous to make any generalized statement. They always manage to have exceptions!
But for the most part, all link and slip trains run with an anti-telescopic SLR to reduce potential fatalities in head-on collisions and any accidental collision with the locomotive when it is being attached. In some cases sectional coaches are attached just for the sake of having the second SLR.
