Agreed, but I don't think there's a fully Air Conditioned Train with Slip Coaches in India, neither I think it's ever gonna start. Upto 10 AC coaches can be easily run on Self Generating Coaches, ALD NDLS Duronto has 9 coaches running on Self Generating Coaches.
Also Self Generating Coaches either LHB or Hybrid LHB should be enough to replace conventional ICF coaches, there's no need to continue with any further production of ICF.
And yes Indian Railways should look into other methods to cut down consumption of diesel, first could be proper...
