Yesterday a locomotive ran about 13kms on its own, without a loco pilot. This incident happened near Wadi, Karnataka.

This was not an accident, in fact, it is known as these were the field trials for driverless locomotive.
The locomotive was successful in running about 13km without a loco pilot in its maiden run however, it failed to stop on its own....

Earlier trials were done for the electric locomotive, now driverless feature is tried for Steam Engines too...!!!
Trial run near Rewari was successful as the loco managed to run about 2km without the drivers. But, as in earlier case, braking problem was there and the loco derailed due to jammed brakes.
