JainChintit~ 7102 blog postsThe rake sharing note indicates that 12951/52 have rake sharing with 12953/54.
I do not think it is correct.
The 12951/52 have B9 while 12953/54 do have till B8 only and hence there is no possibility of rake sharing.
It is a different matter that when coaches are taken off the rake for major service, these are attached to any of the 4 rakes...

Yes you are right "No Rake Sharing" with 2953 Augustkranti Rajdhani.
19251 Mumbai Rajdhani has 2 rakes individual out of which one rake is always ready, so Mumbai Rajdhani always departs on right time irrespective of any problems.

There appears to be rake sharing between the two Rajdhanis between Mumbai and Delhi.
51/52 reach early and depart early (at/from both the ends) while 53/54 reaches after it and also departs after it (at/from both the ends) .
In this situation, RSA would mean that early reaching rake will depart late and late reaching rake will depart early which shows - no purpose.
(In case of 19115/16, 19131/32 the rakes are logically shared at Bandra Terminus. 19116 reaches late but departs early hence as 19115, the rake coming as 19132 is used to avoid any possible delay and also to maintain the rakes. Yet, the...

I traveled on Mumbai - Madgaon JanShatabdi, that interestingly enough has an RSA with Aurangabad Janshatabdi. However, the rake I had (it was KR), showed the right plates on each coach, except on the end coaches where it had numbers for both JanShatabdis.
In case of the two Rajdhanis, RSA may not be a daily occurence but used when one rake goes for longer maintenance (I assume that happens once a week) than the 8 hours would allow at Mumbai.

it could be a case of one coach being used for both shatabdis because of maintenance issues?
