2 & another was added. It was running with 3 CC many years, after DD started our great IR reduced it to 2, later 1 & removed that also to encourage DD. brinda was considered as prestigious train those days, used to cover the distance in 5.5 hours with change over initially at KPD & later JTJ.
During doubling work between KPN & WFD, it was diverted to run via SA towards SBC & normal route while returning
