vijaybharadwajs~ 1990 blog postsfriends I am waiting for SC-VSKP duronto when is it expected to start. Its really tough to book Godavari or Garib rath... what is the reason for delay does any one know?

9.5hrs is utmost acheivable.

however IR wants to earn more money in form of dinner so it is starting early.

As the train starts 20:40 from SeC and 22:30 from vizag there will be nmo dinner onboard this train . NDLS-Jammu which starts at 19:30 itself doesnt have dinner and 9.5 hrs of running is a great speed in this route. Train cannot run in 8 hrs as the track is not capable of withstanding more than 110kmph. The New Delhi -Bhopal shatabdi express travels 701km in 7:50 min and is the fastest train It touches 150kmph between Tuglakabad and Agra adistance of 180km and the rest can attain a max of 140kmph. Even the Delhi Mumbai and Delhi - howrah the max speed is 130kmph. so other route in India has more operating speed than 120kmph in other routes. So you cant expect trains to run in 8 hrs between SC and Vizag
