With less than a year after being started in June last year (2014), the New Delhi-Lucknow Rajdhani Express is going to be discontinued from April 16, 2015.
Now the train will be renamed as Lucknow-New Delhi AC Superfast Express.
According to a railway official, "Rajdhani trains are meant for long distances...but Lucknow Rajdhani is not covering much distance so it was decided convert it as superfast express."
