I am not sure about this, but I think in the past IR ran the Double Decker on the Bhopal-Indore route. It was unsuccessful and it had to be withdrawn. I am not sure about this, so let others comment
Yes, it had poor patronage because Chartered buses running between Bhopal & Indore were better than DD.....they were faster than DD and price was almost same/less, as MPS of train route is 100/105 only, it couldn't reduce the journey time. Bhopal - Indore tracks need to be upgraded to 130, then DD will be successful
Yes I was also thinking that only a day train form JBP - INDB will have a good pantorage also
