Our Indian Railway Zones have to be reorganised based on the Major States Zone since most of the Major states are formed Joint Ventures with Indian Railways to develop Railway Infrastructures works in their state.
Examples.
1)SCR bifurcated as Telengana Railway Zone and Andhra Pradesh Railway Zone.
2) SR bifurcated as Tamilnadu Railway Zone and Kerala Railway Zone.

SWR renamed as Karnataka Railway Zone.etc
Similarly other zones have to be formed with the concerned State Name .
Smaller states / UT have to be combined in a single Zone.
So the multi directional confused zonal names can be avoided.
Development in the each state zone may be faster with the concerned State s active participation .Full cooperation in the complicated land acquisitions are ensured by the concerned States.
