With the introduction of Tejas and maybe UDAY as a Sitting train,are there any chances of introducing new Shatabdis.
Nobody wants shatabdi due to flexi-fare. And this government won't introduce shatabdis but will introduce Tejas trains. Same like what happened to Duronto after introduciton of Humsafar.
Shatabdi once the fastest fleet of trains in India will be humbled by more faster trains like Gatimaan and Tejas in the near future
I gave the example of Shatabdi and Tejas because Tejas dont have flexi fares.But if we see Duronto and HS.Both have flexi fares but as HS is newly introduced it is given more priority than Duronto.
Chances of new Shatabdis is very less.But we saw Special Raj between BDTS and NZM so there is a hope of Special Shatabdi with Anubhuti 1A coaches during peak season on highly imp route.
