Following the huge success of Asansol - Mumbai CST exp via mainline, ER should think of introducing another similar train between Asansol and Pune via mainline. This will be the first train to Pune from Asansol and the whole Asansol-Patna section.
It will serve important stations like Jasidih (for Deoghar, Dumka pax), Chittaranjan (for Chittaranjan-Rupnarayanpur, Jamtara, Mihijam pax), Madhupur (for Giridih pax), Kiul (for Jamalpur, Bhagalpur pax), , Mokama (for Barauni, Begu Sarai pax) and Bakhtiarpur (for Bihar sharif and Rajgir pax) along with Asansol (which will serve Durgapur, Raniganj, adra, Siuri and Bankura also).

No new slot has been given between Patna and Pune. This train follows the free slot of Baghmati exp between Patna and Itarsi and shares slot with Gorakhpur - Pune Express between Itarsi and Pune. Only a new slot has been given between Asansol and Patna in which it follows Ernakulam - Patna exp till Patna.
