There has been a long demand of a dedicated train between Asansol and New Delhi via mainline.
The section of mainline between Asansol and Kiul contains 5 A class stations namely Chittaranjan, Madhupur, Jasidih, Jhajha and Jamui. Currently these stations of mainline is served by only poorva exp which runs only 4days in a week. Also these stations have either PQWL or RLWL in poorva. So there is a need of a dedicated normal Superfast train between Asansol and New Delhi via mainline which will cater the needs of these stations.
