if there is any food availability in the train, then the option should be catering available. any food item that were sold by sellers in train.
Catering means the system of supply of food by IRCTC in case of NON pantry car trains. They collect order & supply food from any big station enroute...

According to you IRCTC sells food in trains which dont have pantry cars along with order. Can we call the selling of snacks and other items like peanuts, samosas, cashew nuts by the out side and non IR vendors as catering?
The snacks, smosas, peanuts are sold by local vendor in passenger trains also.
They can not be called catering
