The main purpose of this train is to connect, (1) Bikaner, Jodhpur with Madurai, Tirunelveli; (2) Shri Ganganagar with Mumbai (Thane); (3) Mumbai - Madurai with reduced travel time in the shortest route; (4) Connect Pollachi - Palani with Mangalore, Mumbai and Rajasthan. This could be beneficial for the tourists too.
