i agree with you , sametime we need to consider the travel time of down south people especially (NCJ, TEN, CVP, VP, MDU). so its better one Andyodata via Main line , one via Chord line... it will cater the needs of all the passengers
if one via run Chord line : Ariyalur, Vridachalam , jayankondam people can benefit

But for compensation of Mannai diversion only TBM TEN Anto Came ML nd we don't need such trains with really weird timings.

Pax in ALU some 50% are from TJ and same VRI 50% pax from TDPR. But I do agree CL also needed new trains. Yes and as a fact I told this
i dont think down south mind of travelling 1.5 hr more extra. People of NGT, RMM even TN have travel time which is less than our shortest bus route timings so even via ML TEN NCJ not going to loss much as their prime trains already via CL
Then you need to realise that Tiruchendur express became daily due to ML patronage only. It was mere a weekly express when it was via CL.
