thewanderer^~ 3135 blog postsdate-15.12.2011,journey train -12302 howrah rajdhani .coach composition -no extra coach(admins plz take note of this) coach-B2 .train was rescheduled to leave at 19.20 hrs. at 18.40,we were on pf15 waiting for our train. after a long and impatient wait, finally gzbp-7 pulled in the rake of 12302 at 19.15 hrs and almost simultaneously, another gzb p-7 pulled in the rake of 12314 on pf13. the train left ndls at 19.30 hrs,at shivaji bridge we crossed the up ranchi rajdhani ,late by some 8.5 hrs .evening tiffin was served wid sandwich,namkeen,sandesh,tea etc . train made at good start and was at gzb in 30 mins. however, it was stopped at gzb .it was clear dat the train was completely out of sorts. even the tt said dat we had more late in store. aligarh went at around 21.30 hrs . soup nd breadstick was served. dinner was served at 10pm...

next day when i woke up at 6.50,train was standing at mgs.sdah raj was alsostanding beside it. our train left at 7.00 hrs. there was dense fog outside mgs upto bhabhua road. after dat, it suddenly cleared up.morning tea was served. the train , after a couple of hiccups ,one at chandauli majhwar and then bhabhua road, finally picked up mps . gaya was at 9.25 hrs. after gaya, the train crossed the beautiful ghat section at around 70-80kph. breakfast was served with bread butter jam omlette frooti.train was stopped at koderma for 20 mins as the ferozpur dhn exp which was ahead of us got stuck as sparks were seen from is wheels. the sdah raj was also stuck up nd its loco was just 75 m from the tail of 12302 .finally, the problem was solved and we were moving again. parasnath was at 11.30 hrs. another round of...

however,the train received numerous signals at panagarh, khana etc and finally limped into bwn at 14.25hrs.after bwn it went slow till saktigarh nd then picked up mps.however, it suddenly came to a stop at jaugram at around 15.05 hrs.dn howrah rajdhani 12302 was overtaken by sealdah rajdhani 12314 at jaugram in hb chord at around 3.15 pm. the points in the fast line were damaged and a machine was repairing it.....some stupid controller thought dat the repair work wud be over and put the hwh raj on the fast line .however, the job was not done and the raj was stopped for 15-20 mins and we helplessly watched as the santiniketan exp, sdah raj and a bwn hwh emu overtook us...finally the machine was moved and the train proceeded at 3.30 pm slowly. after jhapandanga, it picked up speed and finally, after another slowdown at dkae , it entered hwh at...

Was there a PA system? Were there regular announcements on the delays?
no...no announcements were made about the amt of time delayed. but expected arrival at next station was shown on the display board over the doors. (btw i really dont know how cud the cabin man at jaugram make such a mistake to divert such a prestigious train on a line on which repair work was going on and let other trains pass and make this train more late..)
