Thats right.See recently I travelled in few trains which runs with Diesel E2E as there is no electricity line yet.Superfast should be allotted EMDs and Normal M/E Alcos.All single.But now in most trains running from ER to NFR or back are getting twins.
2 examples of trains that run mostly in electric line but have e2e diesel are:
1)MAS-BSP Weekly (There is only a short strech of diesel in BPQ-Nagbhir but it runs with e2e diesel)
2)MAS-SSPN weekly (Has the significance of being the only e2e diesel in MAS-KJM section)
