Sorry for my late reply, The Electrification works in Salem and Karur are not started,they will be started only when the Electrification works in Karur-Dindigul section gets completed completely i.e CRS gets done after that. Till now Wiring is done nearly 90% in Karur-Dindigul section. CRS also done along with Velliyani TSS which is now active. Other 2 TSS one at Pugalar and other at Pettaiyavayatalai are nearing completion. Recently Train No.56842 got Eloco from Erode to Trichy ED P4 22557. FINAL TSS will be placed at Namakkal. So overall this total section which comprises of 286 RKM~ should be completed in 2019 by April or May. We could see many trains with Eloco then.
Update: Thanjavur-Trichy doubling completed and trains started...
