I can sense some lack of logic here.. Acc to them (say Norms), a round trip of >3500 should be taken to pitlines at both destinations.. But actually the idleness at MAS has nothing to do to effect the rake. They should have relate it to a single trip and treat it as CBE - MAS - ADI rake and continue the RSA with Pitliine attention at CBE and ADI as it was.
Its something like strictly going by the lines in the book leaving the interpretation aside.

That's exactly what I said. By and large their rules are pretty straight forward. There are hardly a handful of trains which fall into an ambiguous territory like this one. It's only for a few exceptions like these that they become difficult to comprehend.
The rake idling at MAS has got nothing to affect the rake, but the point is that both trains have to be treated as independent trains, only because one of the two is a long distance train. If both trains were short distance trains, then there is no problem in treating them as a single rake (like Seshadri). But when one of the two trains is a long distance train by itself, then...

I saw here in IRI / watsapp groups that rake of Seshadri undergoes SM at NCJ.. Is that true ?
I don't know. Terminal attention is sufficient, but if slots are available it's up to the officials to decide if they want to do the cleaning in the washing lines. But for it's run, SM is not required. They might take it to the pit lines for an examination and just endorse the original BPC given at COA.
