That was the reason Sashi Tharoor M.P., when told to avoid expenditure on Air Travel, retorted " I don't mind travelling by Cattle Class"
No doubt our politicians and priests want us to multiply like worms and live like swarm, worse than cattle....

From independence population was ever increasing and it touched its height in 1970-2000. After that only the "rate"(only the rate of increase , not actual increase) came down . At independence we had only 8 coach , 9 coach , 12 coach trains etc. The model of the british nowhere matched the demand in trains after independence. So only accmodation like SLB , MB , UB , SUB etc. was increased.
