Further two points on Udupi station in addition to the points given in my station tips given on 22nd February 18.

(1) There is a small but clean waiting room at Udupi rail station. Its' capacity is only 14 and must have been designed in the late 1990s when KR was still a kid. There are two toilets for men and women. The mens toilet was very clean. It was a western style toilet with a hygiene faucet. Any one irrespective of their ticketing class can use the waiting room

(2) For hard core KR fans, you may like to discover a ''stone'' on Platform 1 which says '' First engine arrived at Udupi Railway station on 4th January 1993''. It must have been an exciting day for the KR staff and the citizens of Udupi. It is nice that someone was clever enough to decide on having a commemorative stone on this historic day
