This photo is a combination of Modernity (OHE Poles) and Old Tradition (Semaphore Signals) ... yet both have never functioned actively together. As far as I know, Electric Loco Pilots NEVER follow Semaphore Signals. These Old Signals are only followed by Diesel Loco Pilots. Once these poles' triangular anchors are pulled out straight n catenary wires are joined over them, these Semaphores will be dismantled by then. By the time these wires are energized, only poles of these semaphores will be left while new ABSS Signals will start functioning. A New History in the making which will change the operation style of the Entire Howrah - Amritsar Route via Back Line Route in the year 2012. The OHE Poles n Wires look freshly new & shining in the photos but will look more better when they will be energized & being touched by Pantographs of WAP AC Beasts :-)
