1-PRS clerk tried to change the date , but got error 'can not modify date'

I tried it once in an empty PRS counter at MTP. The clerk said that Modification of DOJ is not permitted in trains having dynamic fare. That's why Duronto also comes under this category.
I have no idea whether cluster/telescopic tickets modification can be done by PRS counter.

I disagree with this option, fresh reservation fee is only Rs. 15 to 50 whereas cancellation fees is 120 for SL and 180 for 3A. Plus reservation fees is per ticket and not per passenger. Therefore modification of DOJ is much cheaper than cancelling and booking again. Provided approachibility to PRS is there and its empty.
