The Great Indian Peninsula Railway was predecessor of the Central Railway, whose headquarters was at the Boree Bunder in Mumbai (later, the Victoria Terminus, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and presently the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus).
