badrinarayanand 275 blog postsThe MAS MAQ SF express has been rescheduled for Today (30 Mar 2018) to 2000 hrs. I am travelling by this train Today.
The amusing point is, though this is starting 3 hours late, the NTES is just projecting 45 hrs in arrival at MAQ.
I am really thrilled to check this out today.

I think 50% of the delay can be covered if it gets priority.Depends on Section Controllers
NTES projects the time for best possible situation.
If there would be no X/O, further no delay added and your train run at MPS in every section, then you will reach about 45 mins late.
It just removes the official slack time.

Since it left just 20 minutes ahead of One Mail, there were some confusions at Katpadi and Salem. Some people mistook it for Mail and boarded. Even at Chennai Central, there was one senior citizen arguing with one of my co-passenger. he was having the ticket for Mail. Mail and this train were berthed at adjacent platforms in Chennai.
As anticipated, it reached at 12 noon in Mangalore. Since it was passing through better part of Kerala during morning peak hours, it had to negotiate with other passenger trains, due to which it had many unscheduled halts at unscheduled stations.
