Hi All, what is the reason for calling a station with the name 'Central' ? The name 'Terminus' we can understand. Like CNB Central, it should be CNB JN , right ? Mumbai Central ? Mangalore Central and Chennai Central should be 'Terminus' like CSMT instead they are called 'Central'. what is the reasoning ? any idea ?
A station in the centre of the city is usually called Central.
It may be any type of station, Junction, Intermediate Station or Terminus.
