You can divert this train via Arakkonam (AJJ) - Tirumalpur (TMLP) - Kanchipuram (CJ) - Chengalpattu (CGL) - Tambaram (TBM) - Chennai Egmore (MS) which will be helpful for passengers buying silk sarees & visiting temples of Kanchipuram. But train has to run with end to end diesel loco only as Arakkonam - Takkolam stretch is not electrified.
