Railadventures~ 2771 blog postsI dont know real reason why last 30km doubling of SBG loop between Bhagalpur and Kahalgaon 30 km section going very slow, Even where there is no bridge between bhagalpur jn to Lailakh Mamalkha the 14 km section out of 30km total,ground work was completed last year only no hurdles at all then also laying down of sleepers and track are going very slowly,One development at bhagalpur jn can be seen that they has started laying sleeper for 2nd dedicated line for kahalgaon side from bhagalpur jn,But target of march 2018 has already past, december 2018 will also be difficult to achieve if work goes at this rate.
Anybody who travels between bhagalpur and sahibganj kindly tell about progress of doubling and bridge construction between the area,we have not got pics of this area after kahalgaon ROB got blasted for construction of new,Kindly appeal members of that area to make some effort for it,I know many of travellers travel by Super Express 13072 -is night and 13071-passes early morning many of them are sleeping so chance are very low for them to capture so hope in daytime any member of that area will make some effort to capture pic of 1)doubling tracks kahalgaon to sahibganj side, 2)Construction of new Rob at Kahalgaon, 3)How much bridge (3 of them) completed till now 4)Update about doubling between Lailakh Mamalkha and Bhagalpur 4)Also Status of ground work between Lailakh Mamalkha and Kahalgaon

I agree with your point. Its a plain area. So work challenge is almost zero. Problem is mindset. Railway and their personnel have mindset that they will get salary on time. No one can remove him from job. So almost all railway project has the similar kind of progress report. For solving this issues unto some extent privatization of railway is required or railway has to punish some DRM rank or high rank official for delaying the project. Otherwise Indian railway will continue under GOD grace.
