I think it cant act as Intercity Exp better it can be ONT from Both sides as pax want to reach bengaluru early mornings and also pax need to reach Bijapur early morning and they can visit historical monuments until evening and at night and catch same train to reach bengaluru.

That overnight ll be my next train . It ll very well act as Intercity, since Hospet Kotturu line connection is established ( long pending demand ). Plus Davangere,to Bijapur side connection also is established. No day train will act as an end to end carrier. Main intention is to connect intermediate places . In this case , the objective was , Bangalore Hospet , Davangere Bijapur , Hospet Bijapur,
