Will this be a permanent diversion. Is there going to be any significant change in time ? With no loco reversal now, the entire coach position will change
Yes. By permanent diversion of this train about 1 hour can be saved in each direction. Each extra rakes in Trivandrum Division can be used to run new/special trains. I think in 15 August 2018 train time table running time will be reduced.
This is SR bro,and moreover TVC division. They will be really happy to get extra slack time and considering 12081 overtake also.
Those days when Kerala Express had an extra rake is long gone; now they're managing with 6 rakes. So diversion via ERN will only help improving punctuality of 12625/26.
Anyway, better to run both up & down Kerala Express via same station(ERN) than 12625 running via ERN & 12626 touching ERS as before. Now atleast there's no confusion: Kerala Express diverted via ERN!
Thanks to this avoidable loco change, the CC of 12625 too used to get changed on a daily basis.

The overtake of JShtb happens as of now while kerala enters ers and has a reversal;
since it is a long distance train, the reversal time will be given as an end slack or before tcr ,either to through jshtb at the front or to accomodate the direct overtake.
In the to new delhi direction, there may be a change of say, 10-15 mins yet that is also not so much possible as slack might be added at ed or somewhere else since its a long distance train.
