It's a brilliant move by the railways, since removing useless political halts are nearly impossible, better substitute them with a much more deserving one...
What is more hilarious is the level of justification that some guys are providing for PNME and demeaning ASN... I mean degrading Asansol seriously!!! Not is Asansol the second biggest city in Bengal, but anyone who is privy to railway history would be knowledgable of the role Asansol played in the expansion of East Indian and Bengal Nagpur Railways!

I sincerely hope this proposal is accepted by the Railway board, not only is it cringeworthy to see 12301 halt at PNME with near zero patronage, but it would be a disgrace for 12301 to be burdened with an extra halt while having the most aggressive Time table to follow up...
