One of the best trains in history of IR is now compromised with.
Yes, I am talking about the present situation of 12839 Chennai Mail (and hence 12841 Coromandel Express).
When observed from outside, the rake looks like an age old one.
I know the RSA factor is responsible for it, and I am sure Railway Authorities are also quite aware of the

same. In fact they are aware of many, besides the fact of turning blind eyes to majority of them. But everything has got a LIMIT.
Sleeper coaches are in nightmarish situation. I cannot say with utmost surety about inside conditions of AC coaches, but nonetheless the exterior is at par with Sleeper coaches.
I know I may seem to be demanding something out of constraints of IR but the general conditions of these trains, in fact premier trains, can easily be improved if RSA factor is eliminated between them.

Agree with you about the RSA vs Basic comfort. But I do not believe that the RSA is the problem in this case. In this case, both mail and Coromandel undergo primary maintenance at the Howrah end before every trip. So the RSA is not causing any difference here.

Earlier Chennai mail was with MAS division........i guess number was 6003/6004 or something like that. At that time it was very good. The rake sharing and movement to SER has ruined the same. with such little layover time, cleanliness is definitely compromised

Exactly. Earlier, MAS Mail was indeed very nicely maintained.

6003/6004 was the number when it was mail, later ot converted to superfast mail with train number 12603/12604 during lalu era when speed criteria for superfast status decreased to 55 kmph from 60 kmph.. Till then it was maintained excellently by MAS division..

One of the best trains in its hay days. I remember those earlier times when there were heavy floods in AP/Orissa. All other trains used to be cancelled, but the Chennai-HWH mail used to be the only train which used to run.
Always used to get highest priority.
