Oh !! I knew about the route but not the revenue distribution pattern !!
Similar system is followed for passenger trains also, intermediate zones also get the profit
Considering eastern area is naturally gifted & rich in minerals like coal, iron ore & its highly populous with great agricultural output , doesn't it has frieghts ... Afterall Kolkata is major port too
