With the growing traffic in the suburbs of Chennai, there is an increasing need to have train service in the outer suburbs of Chennai.
There should be a train line connectivity between Vandalur and Tiruvallur Via Sriperumbudur. The rates of land are increasing day by day and hence an earlier start would make this project see the light of day and will make an profitable one for the railways. Also many trains originating south of Chennai can skip the city and run through this line and help de-congest the city and also help people living in suburb by reducing the need to travel to the city.
