Saraighat express was introduced as a weekly superfast express between Howrah and Guwahati on July 6th, 1995. It was converted to a tri-weekly from October 1st, 1996, started running 5 days a week in 2006 and became a daily in 2007.

I Think Saraighat Express (12345/12346) should be replaced by New LHB coach!! This train is very important superfast train between Howrah (HWH) and Guwahati (GHY). What you think?
